Jon Peeler-Nashville’s Lawyer

Boutique firm with individualized attention to each client for 29 years.

Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Jon attended his hometown college U.T. Martin and then continued to David Lipscomb University where he completed the pre-pharmacy curriculum. In 1985, Peeler graduated from the Samford School of Pharmacy in Birmingham Alabama. While working as a pharmacist in Nashville, Peeler did double duty as a pharmacist and law student while earning his law degree from the Nashville School of Law. In the early years, Peeler hung his shingle at the historic Norman Law Office located off of famous Printer’s Alley in downtown Nashville. The Norman Law Office was started by acclaimed Attorney Jack Norman and has been the home of many prominent lawyers and judges throughout the years.

Although Peeler’s intent was to use his pharmacy background in litigating medical-related cases, the early years consisted more of a general practice providing a broad base of experience. As the years went by, Peeler was retained on increasingly complicated matters including serious personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and medical malpractice cases. For nearly 30 years, the largest single source of client referrals in Peeler’s career has come from lawyers in Tennessee and surrounding states who grew to know and trust the results he has continually produced.

For almost three decades, Peeler's practice has included litigation in East, West, and Middle Tennessee as well as numerous states throughout the southeast. Peeler has conducted civil and criminal jury trials in state and federal courts. Additionally, he has litigated in the Court of Appeals at both the state and federal levels.

Jon Peeler was the 50th President of the Tennessee Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA). He has also served as Past Chairman of the Board for the political action committee, Lawyers Involved for Tennessee (LIFT). Additionally, Peeler has served as TTLA Vice President and Treasurer, as well as a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee. He has served on the Executive Committee of The Tennessee Judicial Conference and as Political Treasurer for Davidson County Criminal Court Judge Monte Watkins.

Over the years, Peeler has been requested by many judges in Davidson County to serve as special judge in their absence. Additionally, Peeler has served as Special Prosecutor in Davidson County, Tn. Lastly, Peeler has also provided testimony to legislators on Capitol Hill regarding legal matters before the Tennessee Senate and House of Representatives.
